SESSION DESCRIPTIONS

FRIDAY NIGHT:

I’m With Jesus

Standing Boldly for Truth in Such a Time as This

The times in which we live are growing darker and darker. The pressure to subside into silence and become sheepish about our faith is growing by the day. But when the Apostle Paul found himself in a similar circumstance, completely surrounded by evil, God told him, “Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not keep silent, for I am with you…” (Acts 18:9-10). The same God who commissioned Paul to stand boldly for truth in those harrowing circumstances is urging us to do the same in the times in which we live. Even more exciting, the God who was with Paul back then is the very same God who is with us today. In this session, you will be inspired to rise above cultural pressure and live a life that boldly declares “I’m with Jesus!”

SATURDAY:

True Freedom

Overcoming Shame Through the Power of the Cross

Many of us are hindered from fully living in the present by our past mistakes and regrets. Trendy self-help messages give us plenty of worldly advice on how to become bold and unashamed of who we are. But true freedom and lasting confidence can only come through the One who took our sin and shame upon Himself. This hope-filled session will equip you with biblical and practical tools to gain victory over shame and freedom from your past – not through self-esteem or self-expression, but through Jesus Christ and Him Crucified.

Strength to Overcome

Exchanging Self-Pity for Spiritual Fortitude

We often believe that we have the right to wallow in self-pity and spiritual weakness because of the unique challenges we are going through. But when we choose this attitude, we miss out on one of the greatest spiritual tools that God desires to give us – the strength to be more than a conqueror. In this session, you will learn how to allow Christ to showcase His triumph and victory through your life, even when things are difficult. Learn how to say no to self-pity and yes to victory, no matter what struggle you are walking through.

No Compromise

Living Worthy of the Calling We Have Received

In an age where comfortable Christianity has become the norm, words like “holiness” and “consecration” are quickly becoming taboo, even among the Body of Christ. But when you are truly set apart for Christ, you will no longer be satisfied with spiritual mediocrity and compromise. Rather, it becomes your greatest delight to live a life that is consecrated to Him. When you are truly set apart, you will lose your desire for worldly things and simply desire more of Him. As the old hymn says, “The things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.” This session will help you embrace the high calling that God has placed upon your life and joyfully give everything to the One who gave everything for you.

CONFERENCE SCHEDULE

A HUGE TURNING POINT

I can truly say the Conference was life-changing for me. Having just finished two grueling college semesters, I felt so tired and needy spiritually. I sat in the audience and just wept as I took in the rich teaching and sensed the powerful presence of God there. The Conference has been a huge turning point for me spiritually. I have grown so much closer to God and I have rededicated my life to Him. God dealt with a lot in my life in those two days and even more so as I came home.

Laura
ENCOURAGED TO STAND FOR TRUE CHRISTIANITY

“This was my second Set Apart Conference and coming back has reminded me of what true Christianity is and why we need to stand for it in this modern age and culture. As the world becomes progressively darker with sin and godless living, true Christians need to stand up and preach the Gospel now more than ever! Leslie reminded me that living a Christ-centered life means giving UP my life and my goals in order to accomplish God’s will and bring more glory to Him.”

Rachel
INSPIRING FOR MY DAUGHTER AND I

“My daughter and I have attended 3 Set Apart Conferences now. They have been inspiring and life-changing for both of us. This past one was especially meaningful for my daughter. Two days after the Conference she moved to Honduras to help at an orphanage and to teach second grade at a near by school. The encouragement and biblical teaching she received has helped her to press on with the task God has given her to do.”
