I’ve been struggling with feeling ugly physically. Because of it, I’ve made makeup an idol in my life and am so self-conscious about the way I look. I have been called ugly by guys and even some family members. When I look in the mirror ... I don’t see someone who is beautiful or feminine.

The other day, a friend and I went to visit the Apple store. When we arrived, I was reminded of why I don’t like going to the mall: the barrage of materialism, sexuality, and marketing was everywhere. While I enjoyed the Apple store, the walk through the mall to get there left me nauseous.Beauty is constantly being pushed at us.
